Performance is important but only in the context of a radio's value.
We test not only the raw audio quality of an internet radio but all its advertised features from Bluetooth connectivity to streaming support to anything else. This gives us complete control over the testing process, ensuring consistency and of course, impartiality, while ensuring no opinion goes unheard from our team of audio experts.Īll products are tested against rivals in the same price category, and all review verdicts are agreed upon by the team as a whole rather than an individual reviewer, again helping to ensure consistency and avoid any personal preference. We independently review hundreds of products each year, always as a team, at our state-of-the-art testing facilities located in London and Bath.

But this is a focussed performance that will please many listeners. It makes for a slightly claustrophobic listen. The only niggles are the remote, which is a little fiddly and plasticky for our taste, and the slightly closed-in nature of the sound. There's bags of expression at play, making for an engaging listen.
It sounds great too, with a full-bodied midrange and plenty of detail. Another model that's been around for a few years, the Evoke F3 feels confidently well-built and looks the business.
